Harlan Teklad is by far the most superior lab block on the market today.  All blocks are priced at $1.00 per pound or you can get a full 33lb bag for $25.00.  Shipping and handling is a flat rate of $10.35 per 15lbs.  Irregardless if you are ordering 1lb or 15lbs. 

Harlan Teklad 2014:  This block is made up of 14% protein and is ideal for the over weight rat or for the protein sensitive rat.

Harlan Teklad 2016:  This block is made up of 16% protein and is and ideal all around block for the average adult rat.  This is the standard diet of the rescue and all of our rats seem to flourish on it. 

Harlan Teklad 2018:  This block is made up of 18% protein and is also and all around good block.  I would typically use this block with more active rats.

Harlan Teklad 8604:  This block is made up of 24% protein and really is only recommended for nursing or pregnant rats as well as baby rats.  This block is only available by special request as the rescue does not keep it on hand as a regularly stocked item.

This is a homemade treat mix that the rescue uses about once a week as a fun snack for all of the ratties.  It is also supplemented at all times in pregnant or nursing mom cages as well as rats under 6 weeks of age.
